Today, I had the honor of having this gentleman follow my blog. So what, you ask? And a fair question it is.
I might point out at this juncture that Mr. Herron has a splendid blog that is both provocative and insightful. See, Ron’s an indie. And an award-winning indie, at that. And being an indie, he thinks like an indie, i.e., how can I get my work out there, what’s good about my writing and what’s bad, how do I shape my writing to continue to be successful, both from a creativity standpoint and a financial one. He also thinks long and hard about how to do the same thing with his blog.
Better yet, he writes about all that stuff. And he does a slam-bang job of it too. It’s all on his blog, and if you don’t haul on over there right now and join up, well, there’s just no hope for you.
Thank you for the follow, Ron. I, of course, returned the favor, but I suspect I’ll gain a whole lot more from it than you will. Either way, I’m grateful for your friendship, and well met, sir.
‘Nuf said.

Thanks for the introduction my friend! You are awesome.
Hi Jenna! How goes it with your baby?
Thanks for the introduction, Thomas. What a slam-bang good one it is! Makes me want to trot over and have a look at my own stuff. I enjoy your blog and had a gut feeling that ‘friending’ and ‘following’ you would be a good thing. Looking forward to your friendship.
Well, I’ll just say that you apparently did your homework, onaccountabecause your site is fantastic.
It’s great to meet you, Ron…:)
My pleasure, Thomas. ….and thank you. I have a web site, too, but I much prefer the blog format. http://www.ronaldherron.com
Very nice. I agree on the blog thing, though. They’re so much more personable, down to earth…
Next, I’ll have to send a picture of my cat…a 25-pound Ragdoll named Gizmo.
25 pounds? What, is he part bobcat? Hells bells. Please do! I love cats!
He’s a Ragdoll. One of the largest breeds. Huge, but so docile you can’t let him outside…he won’t defend himself. He doesn’t realize he’s King Kong.
That’s not unusual. Neither cat’s nor dogs recognize size in other animals. Largely why a little yappy dog will take on a Rottweiler. My wife and I have a colony of feral cats living behind us…they’re a joy…
Ron’s one of the good ones, and a fellow Michigander.
How the heck come every time I mention somebody, you freakin’ KNOW them? You’ve been around a while, haven’t you, you old war dog
I am old, but I’m actually a noob at this business, Thomas. Started this whole thing last April. Don’t remember just how I bumped into Ron. The first thing to go, you know.
wow…you’re noobier than me, I think…I started my blog in March…
That’s okay…we’ll show these young whippersnappers how to go about wreaking mayhem
I’m learning more from people I run into, young and old alike, than I’ll ever be able to show them. Boy oh boy! It’s a ride and a half!
Nice to meet you, Mr. Herron
And, thanks for sharing, Thomas. Hope you’re well!
Hi EM…I’m doing great
Glad to see you, as always…how are you?
Thanks, Thomas. I’m doing well. Writing… revising, etc. It’s a good time of the year to hibernate with a computer.
It is that…I’m going full bore over here. Tim is getting a final review copy ready to send to Goodreads and Librarything, I’m marketing and blogging my keister off, and it’s countdown to March 1….fun!
Good times, my friend. Sounds like you’re doing well. Very exciting! Keep rockin’
